Enji:Am sorry for making new topic for this but am thinking for having your own place in this world. To be honest i really love places like your own house, base, castle and so on, what you clean from enemies, keep, upgrade, fix and defend. Ofc you may put some restrictions like you need specific number of ppl what you need to create base, what materials you need to have, place around to be completely cleared from you and your friends, to keep control over this territory for some time. After you defend your right to be there, to keep this small territory for you and your friends, you may use millions variants and ideas. Some NPC to come and to offer they help for your home, to open stores from what you earn in game and in missions, to make new trade routes, to be attracted from different groups to be they members and to use your house/base like they post, to fight for your territory with other factions and millions more ideas. When you keep and support your own place, you will spend a lot hours of upgrading it, installing mechanisms, defence systems, inviting friends to rest there, and so on... so on. Like option in Survarium this will be great.


This is one of my favourite things about any game. I've always wanted a place to call my own, to fill with resources, to defend from my enemies. I'm backing this 100%.

Does anyone in here actually get what session-based means?
Ever played battlefield?

Even Freeplay is just longer Batllefield match about survival.
The basic idea, is to get out of the place.

Yeah, but we still can have a more interactive lobby.

Like a clan could have a semi-interactive environment with a lobby/chat mode. EVE online is already striving for something just like that.

If I do get my own hideout in Survarium, I hope there'll be a radio that can play Firelake's "Dirge for the Planet". That song seems even more relevant for Survarium than it did for S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and it sets such a great mood.

PVP you have one match - session
Co-op you have a mission - session
Freeplay you have one life - session

But i guess you can make a fire to warm yourself up and find shelter in buildings...
The maps are said to be HUGE.

ex: you get too cold = sick/movement getting slowed down

"It means exactly what it says, you join a game and you play for a session. There is no persistance in the current alpha build. I.e. If you disconnect from a server and rejoin, you won't be in exactly the same spot you were when you left, nor with any items you may have looted.

Now, before someone gets their feathers ruffled, this does not necessarily extend to the Freeplay mode. The current focus of the game is on the adversarial Teamplay mode, Freeplay won't be coming until at least Q2 next year."

Would be nice to have a hideout. One of my favorite things about stalker was finding a room with a bed and a stash box. would have been really cool if I had the ability to personalize the space too, like a poster to hang or an open gunrack. That aside, really looking forward to Survarium, sounds like it will be more of the things I love about stalker.

How could this fly past my eyes?
Although, "your own place" will probably be left out of the freeplay map still because otherwise the entire map will consist of bases. Im still gonna hope for safe spots a bit in the style of stalker.
