Scavengers sound like the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series Loners. They are neutral to other factions except for the Bandits or here, the Black Market personal. Being a scavenger would fulfill the desire of being a Loner in the apocalypse, because the environment must be explored, it's secrets must be revealed to Loners, who would dedicate their lives to protect those secrets, as for example the Forester in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Clear Sky. Also this faction seems to be the best at using long range weapons, which in most cases are a deadly strike force, but shortly after their positions have been compromised they would be facing fast death. Scavenging... Mmm... In all S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series i would have wanted to use most of the environment to make something, build something new. Every piece of bolt, metal, stone and sand could be composed in to a freely improvised weapon or hideout, or even can be used to make a safe-house, where the scavenger can rest without worries.

Scavengers don't make weapons from rubbish, they use normal weapons -_-
He didn't see the wiki, probably.

They are using this what they found, so those weapons aren't the best i think.

Yep... though who knows, I bet some people in the RA know where to find the right equipment for doing that, since they got regular deliverys from there. On the other hand... who knows what those places look like now. Look at chemical plant, you know what I'm talking about...

Reflex:I think the scavenger would bring a unique set of personal objectives to the game. Instead of scavenging items for the sole purpose of using them, you would be looking for items in which you could sell. Therefore being strong in combat is a moot point. Selling goods such as weapons in order to purchase substance such as clean water or cooking equipment would be the main priority. Survival is priority, and the scavenger is the best in that regard.
I agree with Reflex, i think that scavengers could make a good amount of money by selling items they find and it's the point of survival.

That's why they where the first I thought of when thinking of a faction that could know where guns are made. I mean, they are the military ^^ But that doesn't mean that they'd actually put that knowledge to use. They surely have enough weapons in store and i dont think they will screw all of them that fast. They might rather share their knowledge with somebody who is capable of putting it to good use, probably in exchange for a granted discount on any further arangements.

And apart of that, people who worked at those weapon plants surely are still alive, and they could be anywhere, so the information about where those workshops are is esentially available to any faction that really wants to find them.

Let's say the random Nomads (Mentioned in Black Market description) make weapons (Like weapon dealers) and sell it to Black Market and Scavengers, Renaisance make their own weapons on occasion,
but repair most of those which break down.

Fringe Settlers are hippies, nature fanatics and mindless weed consumers - they attack with clubs. (jk)

Fo da bling! ^^

Maybe there are "cosmetic" artefacts out there? Like those that make you shoot pink bullets, or make your head look tiny just so you can't get shot in the head.

what no. i dont even like pink,.. for that maybe the devs would like to sell them in their cash shop?

BlaineCraner:make your head look tiny just so you can't get shot in the head.

that'll be somewhat cheating and unfair xD

Scavengers huh?Well I guess they are the best supliers/traders around....But I don't reckon them to have the best survival instincts in battle...nor the gear needed!
So the way they do thing is kinda....Fast,secure,not safe!
