just realized how cool it would be if Venice or a Venice like city was present.
Where most of the water would be poisonous or the home of mutated fish/shark'ish creatures.
And lots of the structures were damaged creating more than just roads.

Hmmm, locations I want to see...New York is definitely an obvious location, for multiple reasons. Lots of high vantage points, tight packed city blocks even more chocked up by vegetation, the Indian Point powerplant, various federal and military bases around the area, destructible yellow cabs(dear god please allow me to blow them up Vostok). Can you imagine a giant, claustrophobic maze up through the Chrysler Building to a trove of artifacts? Why isn't December here yet?

Japan would make a good hot spot it has a total of 50 reactors lots of radioactivity there. (Preferably the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear reactor.)

Totally agree. I imagine that Venice would be entirely flooded and then water level lowered and allowed survivors to go into.

DOOMER:a place that makes me excited in is something thats huge, goes really DEEP, with something odd, while you can barely see the bottom of it. something like these:

http://lumq.com/09/the_biggest_earth_holes/

this kind of places always give me creeps.

or something extraordinary... like a big floating building (floats by an anomaly of course.. how can you get inside? :P )

I think that actual locations would be nice specially those of Europen Eastern countries (Prypjat, Moscow, Siberia, and why not?, Carpathian woodland maps among others) but I also think that locations must follow the game's concept which happens to be enclosed in an specific area of Europe, rather than real life locations I agree with Doomer in the sense of a kind of place that gives the creeps with extraordinary, misterious, eerie and odd phenomena caused by the high radiation levels such as earthquakes, or maybe deadly fall out rain anything that makes the environement hostile enough to keep the player in a tense mood in the struggle for survival. A living dynamic environement indeed.

I would like to see that too, as well as some abandoned WW2 bunkers and the Tunguska epicenter site, that place alone would provide for some interesting anomalies.

The mongolian steppes

big open grass lands with mutated horses.

little cover and only few huts and shelters scatterd over the place

although there's still some fair ammount of hills and mountain area's :)
